Stain is an eco-conscious ready-to-wear brand that embraces the relationship between design and sustainability. We take pride in following the slow fashion approach to create clothes that are designed to last. We are mindful of our process, the resources we use and the artisans we work with.

OUR DESIGN PRACTICES

1. FABRICS

We proudly create our sustainable collections by upcycling dead stock fabrics that are 100% natural.

2. PATTERNS

We work with our pattern makers to create the right shapes based on our designs before cutting fabrics to save as much fabric as possible and produce less waste.

3. PEOPLE

By collaborating with local businesses and artisans, we can be very hands on with the process from start to finish and build strong relationships with our collaborators.

4. PROCESS

We design our own prints and get the prints manufactured in Bali. After, our garments are cut and stitched by a tight knit team at a small family owned workshop in Jakarta.

#IMADEYOURCLOTHES

Fashion should not have to come at the cost of people or our planet. The #IMadeYourClothes campaign started by Fashion Revolution is an important movement that raises awareness for transparency and sustainability in the fashion industry.

We collaborate with independent suppliers, workshops and artisans that enable us to provide jobs and preserve traditions that have been present in our community. We celebrate ethical craft rather than use "sweatshop" garment factories commonly employed by fast-fashion retailers. Supporting these individuals empowers them to share their crafts while encourages us to weave a social fabric between designers, creators and artisans to preserve social sustainability.

We take pride in the transparency of how our products are made because it is important that we know and are able to share the stories of the people who made our products and strengthen the relationships between creators and customers.

WE AREN'T JUST HERE TO SELL GARMENTS BUT ALSO TO SPREAD OUR VALUES AND STRIVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE.
